GROUP: 3rd Grade

GROUP GOALS: Kids create a definition of violence.

DAILY ROUTINE: Date, We learn…, Brain Gym ( activación del brazo ), Mental Math, Copy Homework.

 Interacts with others for the purposes of making connections. 
DESIRED EVIDENCE (final products): kids crate a new entrance in the blog. 

ACTIVITIES: 1. Daily routine. ( 10 min. ) 
2. Kids will copy on their vocabulary notebook vocabulary words 1 to 5 week 23 one time (10min.) 
3. Kids will illustrate each one with a small drawing. (10 min.) 
4. kids investigate in pairs what is violence and give examples where people can be violent.(20min.)
5. Kids create expository writing about violence and share it in blog.(15min.) 
6. They will write the homework on homework section. (10 min.)
7. Kids will participate in JVS Anniversary telling some Jules Verne's Phrases. ( 50min.)

RESOURCES: vocabulary notebook, 8 iPads

Session: 2 ( Tuesday )

GROUP GOALS: Interacts with others for the purposes of visualize and compare the story with a movie, TV program or another book.  

DAILY ROUTINE: Date, Brain Gym (activación del brazo),Spell 5 words, Copy Homework.

DESIRED OUTCOMES (PLOS)
Interacts with others for the purposes of making questions and visualize pictures.
Infers the problable outcome of an event or behaviour based on observations.
Uses of vocabulary words .

GROUP GOAL: They will publish in Facebook and Twitter their reading comprehension work. Students will write and illustrate new vocabulary words on the notebook.

DESIRED EVIDENCE (final products):  Reading comprehension work published in Facebook and Twitter. Students new vocabulary words written on the notebook.

ACTIVITIES: 1. Daily routine. ( 10 min. )

 Uses simple complete sentences and begins to use compound sentences. 
 Describes the basic needs of local plants and animals.

DESIRED EVIDENCE (final products): A new entrance in the blog to share the importance of water.

ACTIVITIES: 1. Daily routine. ( 10 min. )
      2.Kids will copy on their vocabulary notebook vocabulary words 11 to 15 week 23 one time. ( 10 min.)
3. Kids will illustrate each one with a small drawing. ( 10 min. )
4. They will write the homework in homework section. ( 10 min. )
5. Kids compare needs of two living things and record it in a Venn diagram. (15min.)
6. Kids should notice that all living things need water.(15min.)
7. Kids look in the Internet for bodies of water in Mexico and how our country uses it.(15min.)
8. Kids will write a short poem on S1 book pages 74 and 75. ( 20 min.)

DESIRED OUTCOMES (PLOS)
        1. Describes the attributes of people they admire.
        2. Uses correct subject-verb agreement.

DESIRED EVIDENCE (final products): Kids writing. 

ACTIVITIES: 1.  Daily routine. ( 10 min. )
        2.Kids create sentences to describe attributes of someone they admire.
 3. kids must include as many vocabulary words as they can and underline the adjectives.
 4. Kids should be careful about subject-verb agreement.
 5. They will write the homework in homework section. ( 10 min. )
 6. Kids will write the parts of speech on S1 book page 76. ( 10 min.)
 7. Kids will solve the multiplications on S1 book page 98. ( 10 min.)
 8. Kids will learn about the Artic on S1 book pages 106 and 107. ( 15 min.)

ACTIVITIES: 1. Daily routine. ( 10 min. )

       3.    Kids will read information in book on page 109.(15min.)
       4.    Kids should analyze the information and identify the different uses that people give to plants.(10min.)
       5.    Kids will share their conclusions in small groups.(10min.)
       6.    Children will write homework in homework notebook. ( 10 min. )
       7.    Practice part of speech on S1 book page 77. ( 10 min.)
       8.    Identify plants and animals on S1book pages 108 and 109. ( 15min.)
